Our Doctors Dr. Dave Heaton graduated from the Ontario Veterinary college in 1989 and has been practicing small animal medicine ever since then.
He and his wife (Dr. Robbie Heather, also a veterinarian at the clinic) started Three Islands Veterinary Services in Bobcaygeon in 1991.
They have 3 children. Samantha, the eldest, is now at Guelph University but "not to be a vet" she says with just a little too much emphasis. Eric is soon to finish high school and says he would like to be a vet one day and perhaps practice in Bobcaygeon. Sarah will be in high school shortly and is not sure of her future plans.
Dr. Dave and family have lived in Bobcaygeon for 17 years and have 2 great dogs (Maggie and Ty) and 2 cats (Salem and Smuckers).
Dave's special outside interests include long distance cycling, hockey, badminton and canoeing.
At the clinic he enjoys office appointments with clients and pets but especially enjoys all types of surgery and he has had a special interest in dog and cat dentistry for many years.
Dr. Robbie Heather is also a 1989 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College.
She is an avid cross country skier, badminton player, bike rider and loves to kayak and zumba as well as being a busy mother.
Robbie's main interests in the clinic are meeting with people and pets in the front office and medical cases.
Pictured below are Dr. Dave Heaton and his wife Dr. Robbie Heather, they participate yearly in the "Ride for Farley" fundraiser, they bike to raise money which helps provide veterinary care to under privileged families.
