Dr. Ebert knew early on that she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine since it combined her interest in science and her love of animals. After volunteering at veterinary clinics throughout high school, including Market Lane Animal Hospital, her love of veterinary medicine was reaffirmed. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph in 2007, after completing a B.Sc. in BioMedical Science in 2003.
Dr. Ebert began her career in shelter medicine as she has a special interest in animal welfare and helping those most in need. She then continued in private practice in the Vaughn region including occasional shift work at an emergency clinic. She was happy to return to Market Lane Animal Hospital, a clinic she has worked at throughout her school career.
Dr. Ebert spends her free time with her husband, two beautiful children, and three rambunctious cats. She is also very active and enjoys jogging, working out, going to the cottage, and having friends and family over for BBQs.
Hi my name is Julie. I joined Market Lane team 4 years ago, as a receptionist and assistant. I have 15 years of customer service experience. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, my nephews and my fur babies. I look forward to meeting the clients and their pets in the near future.
Heather started in the veterinary field as a high school co-op student working in a veterinary clinic. She graduated from the Seneca College Veterinary Technician program in 2006 and has been working as a registered veterinary technician since. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and 17 month old daughter. She has a yellow lab named Baxter and 2 cats named Nikita and Maybelle. Heather joined our team in June 2014. She is dedicated to her job and is compassionate towards the clients and the patients. Heather looks forward to meeting our clients as well as their fur babies soon!
Ever since I could remember I have wanted to work with animals. I have skills that I have acquired through many animal related experiences such as working at a dog groomer’s, pet store, fostering kittens and a boarding facility. However, I was always interested in the medical aspect of animal care. I recently graduated from Sheridan College as a veterinarian assistant to pursue a career in this field.
I have a 3.5 yr old Rottweiler named Loki and a 5 yr. old red ear slider turtle named Franklin that keep me on my toes.
Here at Market Lane, as we have been treating their pets we have gotten just as close to the clients- this relationship between our Market Lane family and yours really does help create a lifelong bond with your furry family members.
I am one of the first people to greet you at the door with my friendly personality and will do my absolute best to help answer any of your questions. I look forward to meeting you all!
Receptionist/Assistant and Certified Groomer
Hi my name is Erika and I am an Ontario certified pet groomer. I graduated from B-pro grooming academy. Previously I worked at a couple of grooming salons and found a perfect home at Market lane Animal hospital. I enjoy working with dogs and cats and thrive to give them the best grooming experienced possible.
Our groomer with over 10 years of experience. She is very gentle with dogs and cats and she likes to “baby talk” them, walk them, and bond with them before the groom to reduce the stress and make grooming a great experience for your pet.
So if your pet needs a basic hair cut, bath or a fancy breed specific groom, please ask for Katia.
During surgery and other medical procedures, our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians monitors all patients to ensure their safety. We monitor every procedure, regardless of whether it’s routine or more advanced. The type of anesthesia we use depends on the procedure. Some require general anesthesia, while others may only call for local anesthesia. For more specific information on our protocols, please see the individual descriptions or contact us with any questions.
We offer professional grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats at our clinic. Certain breeds—especially those with long hair that mats easily—may need assistance keeping themselves clean. Animals that are older or have physical disabilities may also benefit from our grooming services. If your pet is having trouble taking care of regular grooming, it can be a sign of an underlying health issue. Be sure to mention this when you schedule an appointment. You can also call us anytime to discuss your concerns.
We are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical conditions, including emergencies. Because we can perform many diagnostic procedures in-house, we can often give you immediate answers and start treating your pet faster. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests. Please take a look at the more detailed descriptions of medical services we offer, or call us to discuss your pet’s needs.
